Girls get the Wimbledon fever
Year 7 netballers start the season in style
Our year 7 netballers made a wonderful start to the season in some entertaining matches against King Edward VII and Queen Mary School.
The girls performed exceptionally well, winning both matches. After a competitive first half the U12A team grew in confidence, widening the gap between them and their opposition to an impressive 20 goals to 8, while the U12B team maintained a remarkable lead throughout, eventually winning by 19 goals to 3.
Noteworthy performances were given by Vicky Matthews and Rachel Hyde in the U12A team and Lauren Rowland and Gemma McConville in the U12B team. Well done to all the girls who took part.
