Why do we have Saturday detentions ?

Saturday detentions form part of our Rules, Rewards and Sanctions structure. All members of the Arnold community are expected to treat each other with courtesy, respect and consideration, and are encouraged to respond positively to the demands that community life places upon them.

At times, the School's Code of Conduct is broken. This can damage relationships and it is vital for the success of the community that, if and when problems arise, they are addressed promptly and sensitively.

The Saturday detention is towards the top end of our sanctions structure and is a punishment for very serious misbehaviour, or a major breach of our code of conduct.

Further information on the School's expectations with regard to behaviour and conduct are in the Rules, Rewards and Sanction booklet. If you would like a copy, please ask your tutor.
