Easter boredom?
If you were at home over the Easter break wondering what to do with yourself, or if you were a parent trying to cope with bored offspring, it might be worth looking at what was on offer from the CCF.
In what could be described as glorious summer weather, 17 intrepid CCF cadets took part in the ever popular adventure training package at Arnold's own outdoor pursuits centre, Almond Lodge. A full week's training took place including quad biking, archery, climbing and canoeing, as well as orienteering at The Forestry Commission Centre at Winlatter.
As ever, the support of the regular forces was first class, with four qualified instructors from the Cadet Training Team based at Fulwood Barracks in Preston leading the demanding training.
You only have to look at these pictures to see that the youngsters were far from bored!
