Yr 6 visit to Cuerdon Valley Park

On Wednesday, 24th September we went to Cuerdon Valley Park. We did four different activities. The first activity was ice cream making. We had to stir cream and grind strawberries. We then looked inside the Ice House. It was enormous!

The next activity was gardening. We had to pull weeds, water plants and clean the footpath of the garden. We all liked the tasks. We then walked back to the barn to have lunch.

The next activity was charcoal burning so we had to cut a log called alder. We also had to stack logs.

The final activity was meeting the gamekeeper – instead we met a poacher. He talked about what he does for a living. We also searched for rabbit holes. Then we went back to school. When we got to school, we got our things and went home.
