Young Enterprise
Each year Young Enterprise attracts large numbers of budding Sixth Form entrepreneurs. This year the Young Enterprise Competition was held at Fylde Rugby Club and Arnold were represented by Sew Comfy.
Throughout the year the 25 strong team has worked on a number of business ventures including the design and production of cushions made from recycled shirts, the production of a CD of the Arnold Girls' Choir, personalised picture frames and hoodies for special events. As a measure of their success the cushions are even being sold on the high street!
The competition culminated in a report outlining the activities of the company and its financial performance, the creation of a trade stand and a presentation to the judges on the events and experiences of the year. The Arnold team made an excellent impression and were awarded prizes for the best trade stand and the best use of ICT as well as being declared overall winners!
