U16s are County Champions

Arnold's U16 hockey team stormed to victory in the county round of the National Schools' Championships.

The team began their defence of the national title, which they won in March 2010 as U14s, with convincing wins in all four of their games at the county final. A 7-0 win against Rossall School, followed by a 5-0 win against Stonyhurst College in the morning got their campaign off to a great start. In the afternoon, a good team display saw them gain a 8-0 win against Lytham St Annes HS and a 8-1 win against Baines HS. Emily Adams was the captain.

The final results were as follows:

1st Arnold School

2nd Stonyhurst College

3rd Baines HS

4th Lytham St Annes HS

5th KEQMS

Arnold will now go on to represent Lancashire in the National Schools' Regional Round, which will be held at Timperley Hockey Club on Tuesday 15th November. We wish them the very best of luck!
