Welcome to Arnold Senior School

As one of the region's leading academic schools, Arnold Senior School is a friendly place where young people settle in quickly and enjoy their time here.  More than just a place of study however, Arnold is an inclusive and friendly community with a huge range of extra-curricular activities. Life in the Senior School is busy and challenging but very rewarding.

We present our pupils with excellent learning opportunities and encourage them to achieve their full academic potential.  Their progress is carefully monitored and extra help is given when required. As pupils mature, we expect them to become increasingly independent and to take responsibility for their own learning. Teaching is closely related to the National Curriculum, but with a wider choice of subjects being taught to a greater depth. Class sizes are deliberately kept small, to ensure a very favourable pupil/teacher ratio.

An 'Arnold education' provides each boy and girl with self-worth and a strong sense of responsibility. The emphasis that we place on the welfare of each child ensures that our pupils are happy and friendly individuals, who are at ease with themselves and in the company of others.  Our pastoral care is second to none.

They say that every picture tells a story.  Well, in the fascinating video presentations that follow, Faye and Theo very eloquently tell their own stories about daily life at Arnold, and about what the school's ethos and values mean to them.  We frequently tell visitors to the school that our pupils are our best ambassadors, and it is obvious why we do so when you listen to what Faye and Theo have to say.
