Up, up and away

After ten years on the roof it took just one day to remove the Orange telecommunications base station and radio mast from the school this summer. Though decommissioned and out of use for several months it required a holiday period to do the difficult job of lifting the equipment from the school’s main building. Although there is still no clear evidence that such installations cause any harm, and an independent report commissioned by the school reported the installation to be within accepted safety levels by a considerable margin, the governors responded to the concerns of some parents and chose to terminate the contract.
