Arnold appoints Hockey Professional
Miss Demiranda will leave us at the end of this term after ten years that have seen our hockey prosper under her guidance and leadership. We have much to be grateful to Andrea for and wish her well in her new post. The school is now delighted to announce that she will be succeeded by our first Hockey Professional, Mr Raj Toor.
Having played the game in England and France, Raj has dedicated much of his time to coaching since retiring from competitive hockey. He first qualified as a coach in 1991, and has since attained a Level 3 coaching qualification and attended the High Performance course at the Western Australia Institute of Sport in Perth.
Raj has coached at the highest level in the domestic game and spent four seasons at Bradford Ladies Hockey Club in the National League. His involvement in the National League continued with Bowdon Hockey Club where he had a major input into the development of coaching and training structures. Besides National League Clubs, he has coached Liverpool and Leeds University sides and several other clubs in England. We look forward to welcoming Raj to Arnold in September and wish him every success.
