The Parents' and Friends' Summer Ball
On a splendidly warm summer's evening, parents and friends partied the night away at Ribby Hall. The Summer Ball started with pre-dinner drinks on the terrace and progressed to a splendid four course meal.
Ged Mills, our DJ and compere for the evening, kept everything running smoothly and, once the tables were cleared, a game of stand-up bingo got everyone on their feet. The Arnold Monthly Draw, which raises money for all manner of worthwhile school projects, was also drawn. Many lucky winners carried off superb prizes from the prize draw, to include:
A champagne meal for two at Nigel Smith's.
The choice of watching a Lancashire LCC match against either Worcestershire at Liverpool or against Nottinghamshire from the Chewits executive box at Old Trafford.
The use of a BMW Z4 for a weekend from Derek Woodmans.
A round of golf for four players at Staining Golf Club.
Vouchers from The Grind.
Yvette Sheldon jewellery and items from Stampede and Love Beauty.
A meal for two and a bottle of wine at Henry’s Bar & Grill Lytham.
A Tiffany style table lamp from Febland Group Ltd.
The evening was rounded off with a set by 'Take That Two & Party' which had many people hot footing to the dance floor. Our thanks go to everyone who attended for their generosity and contributions to our fundraising and, of course, to the PFA organising committee. Particular thanks must go to the PFA Chair, Christine Atkins, who is always the backbone of any PFA event.
