The Tyrol is in for a treat
And the awards go to...
This weekend saw high praise indeed for our talented drama and music students, with the annual National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) awards being held at the De Vere Hotel. We received nominations for 'Calamity Jane' with Amy Clark nominated for Best Actress and for our more recent production of 'Joseph and the Technicolored Dreamcoat', which received four nominations. Mrs Darkins and her team were nominated for the Best Staging and Costume Award and the show, as a whole, was nominated for Best Overall Youth Production.
We are delighted to announce that both Joseph Shaw and William Fairhead won their categories winning Best Actor and Most Entertaining Performance respectively. It was a very enjoyable evening and it was lovely to spend time with the creative team who put so much hard work and effort into making each production a success. It is always a pleasure to receive the continued support of pupils, parents and colleagues.
It was great to see that Lucy Ella Smith was also there. She was nominated for Best Actor for her performance of Barbara in 'Summer Holiday' with Clifton Academy.
