I trained as a teacher of Physical Education in Birmingham and began my teaching career at Greenlands High School for Girls (now Bispham High School) in Blackpool, before coming to Arnold in 1982 on a part-time basis. Since then I have had various roles in the school both part and full time.
I have led several sports tours, ranging from Edinburgh and London to Holland and Barbados (that one was very popular!). I played netball for British Colleges and Lancashire and now play for my local team, "Saints", for whom I have played for over 25 years and hope to continue for quite a few more yet! I enjoy keeping fit and try to set a good example to the pupils. One of my proudest moments at Arnold School was completing the Cycle 2000 from Lands End to Arnold and raising thousands of pounds for the Macmillan Cancer Unit in Blackpool.
