I started teaching at the Royal Masonic School, Rickmansworth, then moved to St Paul's Girls' School in London, then to the Lady Eleanor Holles School as Head of Chemistry, Poynton County High School in Cheshire, and finally to Arnold.

I have been a Principal Examiner for A Level Practical Chemistry for UCLES (now OCR), and now mark GCSE Chemistry papers. My main hobby is fencing, and I run the school Fencing Club.
