Mrs Pailing is a great enthusiast for her subject, and with Italian as her mother tongue, she has a genuine passion for languages that she tries to instil into her students. Having worked in industry prior to training to be a teacher, she is keen for them to realise the advantages of speaking another language in all walks of life.
As Deputy Head of Modern Foreign Languages, she is responsible for our language assistants. A great believer in educating the whole person, she has organised and led many successful Lower School trips to Paris.
Mrs Pailing is secretary of the staff common room committee and played a leading part in the redevelopment of the common room facilities in 2005. Being an Arnold parent as well as a teacher, both she and her husband are very active in school life and she feels very much part of the Arnold Family!
