Geographers visit Manchester

Our Lower Sixth Geographers were given the red carpet treatment when they were invited to Manchester to tour the new £30 million Geography Department following their AS examinations.

For most of the group, this was the first time that they had experienced, at first hand, a university campus and they started with the biggest!  Manchester University now has 37,000 students with over 65,000 applications each year. They have very ambitious building plans and have invested £600 million in the last decade.

Dr. Roger Braithwaite provided the vital information on entry requirements to the university and the many options available to the students; let's hope it pays off when the results are published!
