Our U15 Girls tennis team is still undefeated in their league after their third win, this time against Kirkham B team.
Jessica Omassali and Georgina Read at 1, found the wind difficult to deal with but eventually ran out 6 - 4 winners. Emily Pomeroy and Chloe Stafford adapted better to the conditions and won convincingly 6 - 1. In the singles all four girls played steady tennis to take all four matches, 6 -1, 6 -0, 6 - 2 and 6 - 3 respectively. A good 6 - 0 victory with one game left to play against a strong Westholme side.
The U13's continue to improve and recorded their first league victory of the season. Hannah Hesketh and Charlotte Evans at 1 won 6 - 3 and Leora Hyman and Lydia Wright at 2 had another marathon match just to lose out 7 - 5. In the singles all four girls took victories, Hannah and Charlotte both winning 6 - 4, with Leora winning 6 - 2 and Lydia finishing off with a 6 - 3 win.
The final league match against Westholme is now postponed until after the exam period.
