I was educated at King Edward VII school, Lytham, after which I pursued a career in banking. I worked for NatWest Bank for 11 years on the Fylde coast after which I decided to go into teaching. Part of my job in the Bank had been in training and I wanted to develop this further.
I went to University College of St Martins for three years where I took a degree in mathematics and secondary education. My first teaching post was at Baines School in Poulton-le-Fylde. I was teacher of mathematics and became Assistant Careers Co-ordinator after two years. At Arnold I teach mathematics and I am involved in Yr8 Rugby, as well as in assisting the Careers Department, running the work experience programme and in co-running the weekly Maths Club.
