Kindergarten aims
One of the most important concerns for any parent is the care and education of their children. Parental expectations are increasing as they become more knowledgeable about the value of early years education and the positive role day care can play. Parents need to be confident that the nursery they choose, and the provision offered, is of the highest possible standard.
At Arnold Kindergarten we understand these concerns and aim to demonstrate high quality provision for our children.
In our Kindergarten the welfare of each child is paramount, and we strive to provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment where well qualified, caring adults understand the developmental needs of children. We aim to provide children from 2 to 4 years of age with an environment that promotes happiness, positive self image and high self esteem.
Our educational programme is based on play and aims to be broad and balanced.
We strive to give the children in our care strong, professional support, and to provide high quality resources for their play and learning. In our Kindergarten, the play experience is highly valued and central to children’s care and education.
Through carefully guided play activities the children are helped to develop physically and emotionally, and are encouraged to explore, experience, discover, practise skills and ideas, and interact socially.
The Kindergarten team share a common goal, to do the best for the children in our care. All team members are carefully selected. An essential pre requisite in addition to formal qualifications is a genuine love of children, a natural desire to praise and encourage, and an enthusiasm for their profession.
It is our aim to review, practise and implement change with the involvement of the whole staff team. We strive for continuous improvement through self assessment and carefully planned staff development.
Every effort is made to ensure that parents/carers are fully informed about the day to day running and the underlying philosophy of the Kindergarten.
We recognise the importance of developing a good partnership between staff and parents, and we endeavour to keep parents well informed of their children’s progress. Through our Key Worker scheme we aim to provide continuity of care for each child.
Our aim is for children to be happy and content during their time with us, and to leave our Kindergarten equipped with the self confidence and skills required to cope well in their school environment.
