Arnold Kindergarten
Arnold Kindergarten is open throughout the year, providing children with a high quality of care and education whilst offering parents a choice in how their children might attend. The structure is designed to ensure sufficient information for our staff to create the most appropriate programme of activity for every child, and yet offer parents the flexibility they require. The Curriculum
Children develop rapidly during the early years - physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our Kindergarten curriculum which is based on both The Birth to Three Framework and The Curriculum Guidance for the Foundation Stage, is designed to provide children with the support to extend their knowledge, skills, understanding and confidence. Well-planned and purposeful activity with appropriate support and intervention by nursery staff is carefully structured and designed to build on what children already know and can do.
The curriculum encourages a positive attitude and a disposition to learn, and aims to prevent early failure. We seek to provide our children with a rich and stimulating environment where they feel included, secure and valued.
Opening times
The Kindergarten is open throughout the year excluding all Bank Holidays. It will also remain closed for one week over the Christmas holiday period. There is no distinction between term time and school holiday periods. The day is divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon with lunch being considered as part of the morning session. We also provide a shorter afternoon session for parents who wish to collect children at the same time as older siblings in the Junior or Senior School.

Short Afternoon session 1.00pm 3.45pm
Arnold Kindergarten participates in the Busy Bees and Care-4 vouchers scheme. We also accept the Early Education Grants for 3 and 4 year old children. Please contact your Local Education Authority for details.
