Excitement and enthusiasm were in abundance last week when our Year 5/6 netballers played against King Edward and Queen Mary School in their first fixture of the season. (For the vast majority of the girls this was their debut for the School).
All three matches proved to be closely contested. Our ‘A’ team were just one goal ahead at half-time (8 – 7). However, as the final whistle blew, they had extended their lead to leave the final score:
Arnold 15 King Edward & Queen Mary 11
This was a splendid start to the season.
Our ‘B’ and ‘C’ teams were equally competitive, playing some skilful netball. However, the final score lines resulted in two narrow defeats
Arnold B 3 King Edward & Queen Mary 5
Arnold C 3 King Edward & Queen Mary 6
Well played girls and thanks to Mrs Cole for umpiring and organising the fixture!!
