Max Kirkham tells us that he has recently heard from James Shearman.
After leaving Arnold School where he was Deputy Head Boy, James attended Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University from 2002 to 2006 from where he graduated with a 1st Class degree (MSci, BA Hons Natural Sciences) specialising in organic chemistry. He was awarded the title of Scholar (Samuel Taylor) by Sidney Sussex College, as well as a Blue in Badminton and a half Blue in Rugby League.
James was also an office holder in several sports societies, as follows:-
2006-2007 University Rugby League Vice Captain.
2004-2006 Sidney Sussex College Rugby Captain
2005 Cambridge University 2nd Team Badminton Captain
2004-2005 Cambridge University Badminton Secretary
2003-2004 Sidney Sussex College Badminton Captain
James is currently studying for a 4 year PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at Sidney Sussex College funded by Cancer Research UK. At the end of this period he hopes to work in the pharmaceutical industry. He would be happy to hear from any of his former school mates on jws36@cam.ac.uk
