Having studied at rival Roses universities, I took my first teaching position as English Master at Nottingham High School, before heading my first department at Wrekin College in Shropshire in September 1998. After five enjoyable years of boarding/day school life, my family and I moved to the Fylde coast where I took my current post as Head of English.
Interests away from the classroom comprise tennis, football (don't mention Nottingham Forest's fortunes!), the theatre and cookery, whilst time at home is primarily occupied by my children, both of whom attend Arnold Junior School. At Arnold I run boys' tennis teams and practices during the Summer Term. Matches are on weekdays after school and occasionally at weekends.
