A pivotal element in the development strategy approved by the Governing Council last year included the establishment of the Arnold School Foundation.
In September 2004, Adrian Wallace was appointed Foundation Secretary and given the initial role of establishing links with all Old Arnoldians, current and past parents & staff, Governors and other individuals, groups or businesses with an interest or involvement in Arnold School. In other words, The Arnold Family.
The Foundation Office
The Foundation Office maintains and develops relations with all members of the Arnold family and since the sudden and sad death in December 2004 of David Pantall, Honorary Secretary of the Old Arnoldians Association, the Foundation Secretary, has been managing the database of former pupils.
Following the success of Friends Reunited, many former pupils asked both the Old Arnoldians Association and the school to come up with a more innovative way to stay in touch with each other and the school.
At the same time as The Arnold School Foundation was being created, the school, under the watchful eye of Mrs Gillian Connolly, a member of the Governing Council, invested in the purchase of an Internet based software package that allows all former pupils to stay in touch with the school and with each other. The system is called Arnoldians Online and was launched in April 2005. Please click on the link above to log on to the system.
Fuller details of The Arnold School Foundation will appear at a later date.
