Children have a great day out
Year 2 children were visited by some fire fighters on Monday afternoon and the Infant children were very excited to have a large, red fire engine parked outside their playground!
The children learned about the importance of having a ‘Fire Plan’, which would help them to get out of the house quickly if there was ever a fire at home, so that our families can be safe. We had great fun acting out what might happen to a family if the smoke alarm went off because there was a fire. Some children dressed as fire fighters, others were the family who helped each other to get out of the house quickly. We even had a pet dog who was also rescued from the house.
Do you have a fire plan at your house?
