You have probably all seen films involving sword fighting: fencing is not like that!
Fencing is an Olympic sport. It is athletic, technical and it will keep you fit (or get you fit if you are not fit already!). Arnold pupils enter competitions locally, nationally and internationally, but if you don’t want to compete out of school you don’t have to; you can do it just for fun.
Fencing happens after school on two evenings a week. You will be welcome at either session, or even both, so you can fit in other activities as well. You will need a T-shirt, tracksuit trousers (NOT skirts or shorts) and trainers. The school provides all the rest until you get so good that you want your own kit!
