It was whilst reading Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manchester
Institute of Science and Technology that I became interested in a career in
teaching through my involvement in the Community Service Volunteers. I
qualified as a teacher and took up the post of ICT co-ordinator at
Tottington High School in Bury. Two years passed and I took up the post of
Head of ICT at King Edward VII and Queen Mary School, Lytham. I then moved
on to become Director of Cross-Curricular ICT at Baines School, Poulton and
in 2004 I took up my current post here at Arnold.
I am a keen sailor and can regularly be seen fighting the tides on the
Ribble. My pride and joy is my bright red motorcycle and sidecar combination
which provides an amusing mode of transport for my family. I am rarely seen
in school without one of my trademark cartoon ties.
