The Proctor Sports Hall provides the school with some of the best indoor cricket facilities on the Fylde Coast with three indoor cricket nets. These are used extensively throughout the academic year, with specialist coaching taking place between September and March in preparation for the cricket season.
Outdoors, the facilities are equally impressive. Six grass nets and one mobile grass net give the boys every opportunity to improve their skills and three artificial wickets, in addition to the magnificent main square and two smaller grass squares, give ample opportunity for fixtures regardless of the weather.
There are three separate grass squares on the school site with two smaller squares on the far field and one main grass square on the near field. The main square is one of the best surfaces in the area with up to ten different strips available throughout the season. We are also fortunate to have three artificial wickets, two of which are permanent.
For training, the boys have the use of three outdoor cricket nets which are used everyday throughout the summer term during the boys' activity period, within Games and after school. In the Easter of 2006 the number of outdoor nets will be doubled with three new nets added. This new addition will make our outdoor cricket facilties the best of any school in the area.
The Cricket Department is also lucky to be blessed with a wide array of training aids and equipment, including a bowling machine, to help with every aspect of a young cricketer's development.
