Arnold, like all schools within UCST, is owned and managed by the Trust and governed by the UCST Board. The Chairman of UCST is Lord Carey of Clifton. Each school has a Local Governing Body ("LGB") which is mainly advisory.

The structure of the Trust is such that the UCST Board discharges most of its duties through the Chief Executive and the Executive Team, based mainly at the central office.
