After finishing my university studies, which included working in Germany for a year, I moved to Cumbria and completed my PGCE qualification with St Martin's College. From one teaching practice in a school with fewer than 200 pupils I secured my first appointment in one with nearly 2000 pupils and by the time I left Lytham St Annes High I was Head of German and Deputy in Modern Languages.
Since arriving as Head of Languages at Arnold the department has seen many changes, all of which have established a strong foundation for future development.
