A visit from the professionals
We were very pleased to welcome the Army Student Presentation Team to Arnold last week.
Captain Lovell of the Royal Engineers and Corporal Finnie of the Royal Military Police gave a thought-provoking and informative presentation to a packed Lecture Theatre regarding the role of the Army in the modern world, from recruitment and training to deployment in Afghanistan.
The team was joined by members of the local recruiting offices who answered questions from the pupils, which touched on topics such as what it was like for females in the Army and the pressures on families when servicemen and women are posted abroad.
We were grateful for such a fascinating insight into Army life given by serving officers and soldiers.
