Build-a-Teddy
If you went down to the Junior School Hall on Sunday, you would have had a big surprise, as a lot of young children were very excited, in anticipation of picking a bear to stuff! It was, of course the Build-a-Teddy workshop organised by the Parents' & Friends. After the bear had been stuffed it was time to choose an outfit from the vast array of clothing and accessories that were available.
There were some fantastically dressed bears with super names and some of the t-shirts that had been decorated by the children were out of this world!
A 'guess the name of the teddy' competition, proved to be very popular, and the winning guess of 'Fudge' was won by Hope Hopkinson; the prize being a chocolate teddy bear with 'Fudge' iced on his tummy; well done Hope! As well as the name competition there was also bear themed colouring, word searches and plenty of jelly teddy bears scattered around the room to munch on.
Many thanks to all of those who helped to run the event; the ladies serving the refreshments did a super job, yet again! A fantastic day was had by all who came and we're sure it's going to be an event that we will definitely be repeated, as soon as the children have caught up on their sleep (and us too!) as they cuddle their new found friends.
