What a week!
This has been a tremendous week in the life of the school, culminating in four sell-out performances of our production of GREASE. The review and pictures in the News section of the website will tell you a great deal about this superb show, but here I would just like to express my own thanks and congratulations to everyone that was involved.
The principal players, Claire Harbourne and Oliver Pilkington, were supported by a great cast and many, many others who worked very hard to put on the show. Not least amongst these was Mr Ross, whose talent, drive and energy really made the whole project possible. We were also very fortunate this year that we had Mr Chris Shaw working hard in the background taking care of the many logistical problems that come with a project of this scale. His group of helpers made a huge difference, as did our many sponsors; we are very grateful to all of them.
Normal school life has not been suspended whilst the show has gone on and, amongst other things, we received the very good news that our U14 hockey team had qualified for the national finals in March next year. Very well done to them.
This week will close with our Carol Service; I do hope that you will be able to join us in the Memorial Hall next Sunday.
Best wishes
Barry Hughes
