Start of term beckons
As the end of the summer holiday approaches, I am already starting to get excited about the start of the new school year. I am particularly thrilled to be taking on the leadership of the Arnold community. Over the last week, it has been lovely to see so many students returning to school to collect their examination results and to share their well-deserved sense of achievement. I spoke to our Year 11 students yesterday who are clearly looking forward to their new Sixth Form careers and the challenge of ASs and A2s.
It has been a busy summer at school, with a great deal of work being undertaken on the plans for our new building programme. The plans are close to completion and I hope to be able to give you more news soon.
You may have noticed that we have made some changes to our website. There are two fantastic videos about life at Arnold on the front page, and we have added a new 'Video' link where you will be able to view additional video content from school activities. You can also access the 'Gallery' section from the front page so you can see all the photographs of school events, both past and present. If you want to keep up to date with school events as they happen, please follow my tweets on Twitter. Once again, you can follow a link from the front page of the school website.
I hope that you and your family have enjoyed a relaxing summer, and I look forward to meeting many of you again during the first few weeks of term.
Best wishes
