I actually applied for a job at Arnold because I had played cricket against the school on several occasions as a schoolboy when we had travelled on tours from Belfast and vice versa in the early nineties. Born and bred in Belfast I moved to Aberdeen to complete a Zoology degree before gaining a PGCE at Jordanhill College in Glasgow.
I started at Arnold as a Biology teacher and was keen to get involved in the rugby and cricket. For several years I have coached the U16 XV and the 1st XI. This has led to tours to South Africa, France, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago. I have also been fortunate to have organised the Sixth Form Ski Trips that travel to the USA every other year. I became Deputy Head of Sixth Form in September 2002 and then Head of Sixth Form in April 2004. My outside interests include sport and foreign travel.
