Pond Dipping
On Thursday 4th May the sun shone brightly for the Year 1 trip to Cuerden Valley Park near Preston. In the pond dipping session, children caught and identified a variety of minibeasts such as snails, mayfly nymphs and caddis fly lava. There were tadpoles and sticklebacks too. They also enjoyed a sensory woodland walk which involved tree hugging and mixing plant cocktails for ‘Mr Sun’s Party’. A wonderful day full of sun, grubs, mud and fun!
