French Day
French Day, was a great success. Children always take great delight in wearing their own clothes to school but the arrival of hot chocolate and croissants early in the morning ensured an even happier start. Two morning assemblies featured French songs and language lessons from our Year 5 children, as well as an infant recorder group playing Frere Jacques and Au Clair de la Lune.
The sun shone on our Boules competitions, and though frogs and snails were safe at lunchtime there was a definite French edge to our meal.
Congratulations to our costume competition winners: Katie Donnelli-Hunn, Richard Leman, Sophie Hamilton-Walker and William Jepson, and to our poster competition winners: Jack Walker and Kiah Jones.
