An old boy of Lancaster Royal Grammar School, at one time Mr Bell was the Head of Howarths House and has also been involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, cricket (he was a very good fast bowler) and badminton.
Mr Bell is responsible for school photography and seems to have the uncanny knack of capturing his subjects at the most embarrassing moment! As a very good photographer, his pictures can often be seen adorning the front cover of publications such as Hill Walker or Steam Trains.
For many years there were two Mr Bells on the staff, so to many former pupils Andrew Bell is still referred to as Mr Maths Bell.
