Family Day in the Lakes
Everyone had a great time at the annual PFA Family Day in the Lakes. Smiling faces, waterproofs, wellies and rucksacks were the order of the day as the intrepid explorers set off on their expedition. With tummies full of bacon butties, tea and coffee, off we all went down to the jetty to board our vessel "The Queen of the Lake". A leisurely voyage down Windermere took us to Ambleside where we hot footed off to Jenkins Crag.
Our walk took in many fabulous sights, some challenging terrain and, more importantly, some excellent rest spots. Once we were all back safe and sound, out came the picnic baskets and off went the children to tackle another challenge - the adventure playground!!! Great weather and good company ensured a fantastic day was had by all.
